Job overview

We are seeking an experienced manager to support and develop the team in Buckinghamshire. The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and have specialist knowledge of substance misuse.

The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing operational management and delivery of a range of services for drugs and alcohol users across Buckinghamshire and to ensure effective planning for operational delivery of the service over the next one to two years adjusting plans in response to internal and external factors.

You will work with the partnership accountant and Deputy Head of Operations Deputy to effectively manage a Service Budget and lead on and be accountable for the strategic and operational development of the Buckinghamshire Service One Recovery Bucks. 

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the role will be to:

  • To work with the Buckinghamshire  Clinical Lead to ensure the delivery of a safe and effective service
  • To provide statistical and qualitative report to service commissioners on a quarterly and ad-hoc basis.
  • To work with the Deputy Operations Manager to maintain a positive, cooperative relationship with service commissioners.
  • Drive and lead the on-going strategic development of the service in relation to national and local change.
  • Lead the management of the Buckinghamshire partnership subcontractors.

  • To develop systems, which provide service user and carer involvement, collaboration and co-production.
  • To manage a care system and packages of care based on need and sound evidence base.
  • Provide specialist tailored substance use treatment interventions e.g., community detoxification programmes/ medication titration and stabilisation, talking therapies etc.
  • Implement, review and update policies- To work with local management team in ensuring all policies are relevant and reviewed through according to Inclusion and Trust governance.
  • The post holder will be required to understand complex information and be able to present this in different ways to different audiences.
  • Oversee all Human Resources issues in the Buckinghamshire Service and ensure staff are treated fairly, appropriately and that service delivery, safely and quality are central to these decisions.

  • Professional Qualification in Social Work, Nursing, Psychology or probation.

Experience
