Children and Young People’s Mental Health Services in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin have received additional investment to improve the support available. As a result, we are excited to advertise a number of new roles, to welcome clinicians who want to work in Children’s Mental Health Services. Where people are interested in applying but would need to relocate we can support. Where people are interested and passionate about working with children but have identified additional training, we may be able to train staff to develop the appropriate skills
As a result of this additional investment coming to into our service, we are looking to recruit specialist Neurodevelopment Practitioners experienced in assessment, diagnosis and ADHD interventions.
We would welcome applicants from Mental Health / Learning Disabilities, AHP's such as Occupational Therapist and or Speech & Language Therapist, or Social Workers with the relevant skills and experience.
We provide highly specialist multi-disciplinary assessments of children and young people in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin aged 5 - 18 years and seeking motivated individuals with a keen interest and experience in working with this population.
You will be required to work as part of a highly motivated multidisciplinary team supporting in the triaging referrals, providing psychosocial assessments, standardised assessments, contributing to diagnostic discussions, providing feedback to families, and writing diagnostic reports.

· Ensure delivery of high quality ND assessments within the BeeU team. The work is with children & young people aged 5-18 years with significant concerns around their social communication & interaction.
· ADHD assessment involving the interpretation & integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological & where appropriate self report measures, rating scales, direct & indirect structured observations & semi structured interviews.
· Autism assessment involves contributing to & leading on specialist assessments for children with complex social, interaction & communication difficulties. This would include the use of standardised assessment tools
· Ensure assessments are provided in line with NICE Guidance as well as other relevant local & national documentation.
· Demonstrate high personal standards in clinical practice.
· Responsible for prioritising workload, allocation of work to oneself & other staff, & to cover all levels of priority of work within the service.
· Make clinical judgements backed up by clinical reasoning & recommendations regarding appropriate actions/sign posting in consultation with multi-disciplinary staff & in accordance with service specification.
· Knowledge of national, regional & local drivers underpinning service delivery.
· Up to date knowledge and experience of clinical developments for professionals working within ND pathways & mental health children’s services.

- Experience working with children and young people with significant social, communication difficulties Experience of collaborative working as part of a multidisciplinary team Significant experience as a practitioner in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services and / or Neurodevelopment Service
