Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician

We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking individual(s) to become a part of the pharmacy workforce at University Hospital of North Midlands.
The post is for a 2-year, fixed term contract for a Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician apprenticeship, starting in September 2024.
Salary paid as per Band 4 * Annexe 21 – Year 1:70% Year 2: 75% of top of band 4 pay point.
We will provide a comprehensive training plan for the successful students across both sites to ensure a full and engaging experience. The post includes hands-on work experience and 1 day per week study leave, which will be online self-directed learning.

The role will involve undertaking the necessary training to provide all of the skills required to support within a busy ‘person centred care’ environment. This will include skills such as dispensing, accuracy checking and medicine reconciliation, to name but a few. Working both within the Pharmacy department and the clinical ward setting.
The successful candidate(s) will need to be motivated, and organised with a positive friendly can do attitude. Be hardworking, reliable and willing to undertake work based competencies as well as proactive within their studies.

- Math’s 4/C, English and Science (at 4/C or above) and 3 other subjects at a minimum of grade 4/C or alternative as listed in PS

- Computer skills and experience of working with Microsoft applications
