Lead Pre Assessment Endoscopy Nurse Specialist

Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Lead Pre Assessment Nurse to join our established assessment service within our JAG accredited Endoscopy Unit.

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who will participate in innovation and evidence based nursing practice through professional leadership to enhance the patient's endoscopy experience from referral through to procedure dealing with any concerns and supporting the clinical teams.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for the teams quality improvement plan and leading the team with continuous quality improvement, ensuring compliance with the team statutory and mandatory training programme, lead effective appraisals and will need to provide leadership and mentoring, and will act as a positive role model for junior staff in a manner that positively reflects the values of the organisation. You will be responsible for managing, directing and leading the nursing team with inclusivity, compassion, and commitment.                                                                  

Applications are open for B6 registered nurses with 2yrs experience and above in pre assessment in endoscopy who are dynamic, innovative and dedicated, with a strong background in the speciality and exceptional leadership skills.

  • Knowledge and experience with pre assessments in Endoscopy

  • Degree level qualification in Health/Nursing related studies

  • Minimum of 3 years post registration experience at band 6
  • 2 years experience working in endoscopy pre assessment
  • 6 month experience at Band 7 working in pre assessment
