Administration Assistant

Job overview

The role is to support the Medical Secretaries and work alongside the current administration assistant in the day to day running of the Orthodontic Admin Office. This will involve working the the clinical and nursing teams to ensure the safe and effective running of the service.

Due to varying pressures in the administration team there may also be the occasional need for the successful candidate to work on the Oral and Maxillofacial Reception meeting and greeting patients during periods of annual leave or to cover during sickness.

Main duties of the job

  • You will be expected to deal with incoming enquiries from patients and members of the team and work through these with the wider team.
  • To book clinics and type clinical letters.
  • Liaise with the clinicians and wider team in regard to patient queries and appointments.
  • Submit clinic authorisation forms when consultants on annual or study leave.
