Are you a Caring and Compassionate Nurse looking to make a difference to Patients and their Families?
We are looking to recruit Band 5 Pre-Assessment Nurses to deliver face-to-face and telephone pre- assessments for endoscopy procedures. You will be expected to deliver a minimal number of assessments each week.
Our speciality makes us exciting, ambitious and forward-thinking and we are looking for committed, enthusiastic, motivated and resilient individuals to join our nursing team in this exciting environment.
Previous Endoscopy experience is essential and understanding if the procedures undertaken in endoscopy.
In return to demonstration of commitment to your own personal professional development, we will provide extensive on-going training and personal development with annual appraisals and support from an experienced senior team.
This initial 12 month fixed term contract welcomes full time and part time applicants.
Main duties of the job
Here are some examples of the procedures we do:
GI procedures including; OGD/Colonoscopy/Flexible sigmoidoscopy/Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR)/Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)/Manometry/ Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS).
This opportunity will allow the individual to work as part of our dedicated, hardworking and friendly team in our JAG accredited Endoscopy unit within the Trust.
As a successful applicant you will have excellent communication skills, be forward thinking and well organised, with a great positive attitude towards flexibility, learning and change. Your role will be to work as part of a team providing patient centred, clinically effective and compassionate care, in line with the Trust values which will ensure the patients have a positive Endoscopy experience.
