Job overview

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to apply for the role of Emergency Department Matron at Royal Stoke hospital. 

The expectation is that the post holder will be a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with excellent leadership and communication skills.  The successful applicant is expected to be instrumental in improving together to provide quality driven care of our patients.   The ability to build relationships and network with the multi disciplinary team is essential. 

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work in partnership with the Lead Nurse of Emergency Medicine and other  senior colleagues to monitor, challenge and improve the quality of patient care within Emergency care.

 The post-holder will also promote professionalism amongst nurses and will undertake clinical work to maintain their professional competence, authority and credibility

Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills will be required for this post and you will need to be able to work effectively both on your own initiative and as part of the team.
