Job overview
The Obstetrics and Gynaecology Directorate have an exciting job opportunity for a Junior Operational Services Manager. We are looking for an organised, efficient individual to join the team.
This post offers an excellent development opportunity for individuals wishing to gain exposure to a wide range of operational issues as well as staff management.
You will be responsible for ensuring that national + local targets are delivered and clear validation of all data is maintained including RTT pathways, information governance and Datix's.
The ability to manage and priorities a busy workload in a fast paced / demanding working environment is essential.
This post will be based at Royal Stoke primarily with occasional working at county being required.
Main duties of the job
As a Junior Operational Services Manager, you will play a crucial role within the Directorate Team, to ensure the efficient operational management and delivery of performance targets. A flexible approach is essential, as is the need to be self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise set tasks and objectives.
You will be responsible for ensuring that national targets are delivered and clear validation of all data is maintained.

Essential criteria
- Intermediate level qualification or equivalent experience e.g. HNC, Diploma
Desirable criteria
- Diploma/Degree in Management or health related subject

- Diplomacy and ability to deal with difficult situations

- Experience of working in an acute Trust
- Experience of waiting list management
- Experience of management of National Targets
- An understanding of operational management roles
- Experience of Excel, both in data management and data creation

- Experience in introducing innovative practice
