If so, come and join the Specialised Therapies team at the University of North Midlands NHS Trust. We are looking for an enthusiastic therapist with strong clinical and team working skills. We are looking for candidates with a positive and resilient outlook and are able to embrace the challenges and opportunities of working in a large acute trust.

An exciting opportunity has presented itself for a Senior Physiotherapist. The successful candidate will rotate across the Royal Stoke and County Hospital sites and includes the following specialities:

  • Cardiothoracics
  • Paediatrics
  • Orthopaedics (#NOF, Elective, ARTU, Trauma & Outpatients)
  • Neurosurgery/Neurology

Main duties of the job

This experience will give the post holder an excellent opportunity to develop their leadership and management skills, as well as building clinical expertise that will enhance and broaden clinical skills.

Supervision will be provided by the Advanced Therapists and Principal Therapists; continuous development is supported through appraisal, internal training and external learning.  The 12 months will offer the opportunity to complete rotation objectives and either an audit or service evaluation project

The University Hospital of North Midlands is located on 2 hospital sites and the post works within a 7 day shift system which includes weekend, late shift, bank holidays and on-call working.

  • Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy
  • Registered with HCPC
  • CPD relevant to speciality area

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Minimum of 18 months graduate experience as a Physiotherapist
  • Experience of supporting/supervising staff
Desirable criteria
  • Experience relevant to speciality area
  • Experience gained within an acute NHS setting

Personal qualities

Essential criteria
  • Ability to travel to and work across multiple sites

Knowledge, Skills & Training

Essential criteria
  • Experience of Audits
Desirable criteria
  • Trained Clinical Educator
