To provide support to the Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust contracting and finance team by supporting the Data Challenges and Individual funding request application processes. In addition, the job holder will support the team with excellent Excel skills and other data management support.
The main  purpose of the role is to provide an analysis and support function to the trust contract team who manage the clinical contract portfolio for the Trust.

  • To manage the contract challenges process working to a departmental and National monthly timetable
  • Manage the recording and process of funding requests relating to the latest national and local guidance.
  • Manipulate data in excel and other IT systems to produce financial and performance reports as required. Demonstrate sufficient IT skills to be able to write macros and continue to develop electronic data manipulation capabilities for the benefit of the department 
  • Work with the finance, operations and information teams to ensure that all opportunities for income gain through improvement of information: capture, coding and reporting are managed and delivered

DIMENSIONS OF JOB:

PURPOSE OF JOB:

To provide an analysis and support function to the trust contract team who manage the clinical contract portfolio for the Trust.

 

NB: This post is based primarily at Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot although some cross site working will be required.

 

KEY TASKS & Responsibilities:
 
Contract challenges process
  • To manage the contract challenges process working to a departmental and National monthly timetable

 

  • Actively involved in investigating each query, collating, and returning the results in the agreed format.

 

  • Dealing with changes in process or procedure which may come from internal sources or external organisations.

 

  • Tracking all queries through to resolution and taking ownership of issues where possible

 

Individual Funding Request process
  • Undertake impact analyses of changes to Trust IFR and data challenge processes or to proposed commissioning changes, including activity and financial modelling and scenario planning. This will require the post holder to compare and evaluate the activity and financial impact of a range of complex options, and to exercise their own judgement in making recommendations for action which will have an impact upon the Trust's bottom line.
  • Manage the recording and process of funding requests relating to the latest national and local guidance.
