Job overview

Parkside Frimley is a dedicated private unit within the high achieving Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust.  It comprises of 37 Inpatient rooms, an Outpatients Department, a Pre-Op Assessment Department , diagnostic X-Ray and Physiotherapists are available on site to our patients. 

We are seeking to recruit a flexible,  enthusiastic and organised person to provide administrative support to the Parkside nursing Team.

This interesting and varied post involves close liaison between administration and nursing teams, incorporating a wide range of duties ensuring an efficient service to the Ward at all times.    

You must communicate effectively, be well organised, stay calm when under pressure  and enjoy working as part of a team, as well as being confident when working alone.   

A positive attitude to Private healthcare and a commitment to exceeding visitors expectations is essential.  

This role is for 25 hours per week.  The shift is working Monday to Friday 8am - 1pm

The post will be based at our Nurses station within the Parkside Suite, Frimley park Hospital. 

Main duties of the job

  • Answer calls in a polite manner, ensuring all relevant messages are relayed to the appropriate team.
  • Transfer calls when required.
  • Assist Nurses in taking patients to other departments.
  • Greet all visitors to the ward in a helpful and polite manner.
  • Direct visitors to the correct team.
  • Assist with any enquiries where possible.
  • Assist the Pre-Op Nurses with Admin Support.
  • Maintain accurate admission and discharge information on EPIC and Reception Diary.
  • Enter patient details as required into the EPIC system.
  • Update admission/discharge book whilst liaising with the reception staff
