Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the imaging department as a Radiology Data Administrator. We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to support the work of Radiology IT departments by ensuring effective patient flow, results, alerts and supply information required for other healthcare providers. The post holder will work within the PACS team supporting the delivery of an efficient patient pathway tracking, assistance in out-sourcing, radiology-alerts management and data sharing works.

The Imaging Department as part of the South West London Collaborative has procured the Change Healthcare PACS, which will be installed in summer 2023, and implementing single Soliton RIS for the sector. Therefore, the post holder will required participating the testing of software and data migration of new PACS and RIS.

The post holder will also perform image transfers to, and from, external trusts and organisations including the accurate recording of all transfers for audit and Information Governance purposes. The post-holder will also responsible for regular data cleansing to maintain radiology data quality.

The post-holder will play a key role in supporting the imaging outsourcing service, ensuring standards regarding examination referral information, image transfer & report turnaround times.

 

Main duties of the job

  • Work alongside Soliton and Change Healthcare Applications Specialists towards the system configuration settings, eg reference files.
  • Work alongside Soliton and Change Healthcare Applications Specialists to test RIS and PACS data migration issues.
  • Attend training courses provided by Soliton and Change Healthcare
  • Provide support on Diagnostics Waiting Times and Activity (DM01) and DID submission.
  • Assistance in producing monthly/ weekly data as required for Radiology management team and other departments
  • Support to maintain report turnover times, appointments and DNA reports, examinations not completed on RIS, not authorised on RIS or other associated workflow issues.
  • Support data cleansing on Soliton RIS to achieve optimal data quality.
