This role is to assist physiotherapists in providing a high standard physiotherapy service to in-patients at St. Helier Hospital and to undertake duties to support the smooth functioning of the physiotherapy department and service. Assistants will generally rotate between clinical specialities / teams in order to gain a wide breadth of skills.

Physiotherapy Assistant Band 3
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable physiotherapy assistant to join our in-patient physiotherapy team working in St. Helier Hospital, assisting the physiotherapists in their work.
This role will involve direct patient care, working with or under the supervision of a physiotherapist, on the hospital wards including critical care, and also administrative and other duties such as cleaning / sorting equipment, and inputting into the computer.
Applicants should be committed to providing excellent patient care, be able to work as part of a team, have good communication skills, be physically fit to carry out the rehabilitative / mobility work required, and willing and able to take on new challenges, knowledge and skills. This post is full time and includes weekend work on a rota basis.

- Good general education - to 5 GCSE or equivalent
- Sound IT skills

- Experience in a therapy department including work with elderly patients

- Demonstrates a good knowledge of the role of the physiotherapist
