We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to join our multi-disciplinary team, working across Surrey & Borders Neurodevelopmental Service.
We want to hear from you if you are highly committed to working with adults (without a learning disability) who are seeking a diagnosis of autism and ADHD. To fulfil this role you must be an organised and self-motivated clinician, an excellent communicator, able to work well under pressure, on your own initiative and as part of a team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of our neurodevelopmental team and will be responsible for supporting the assessment and diagnosis of autism and ADHD in referred patients, leading assessments (cognitive and psychological), supervision of practice and working with the Lead Clinician and Service Manager to deliver and develop services.
This is a developing role within a rapidly evolving service and the post and post holder will need to evolve to support the needs of the service, it’s clinicians and patients

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
· To demonstrate highly specialist expertise and specialist psychological skills such as specialist psychological and cognitive assessments, formulation and consultation to support people with specific needs e.g. ASD, mental health issues, psychological and emotional difficulties to maintain skills needed for living an ordinary life.
· To be responsible for the professional leadership and continued development of the Adult Neurodevelopmental team I service.
· To undertake comprehensive risk assessments and develop effective risk management plans.
· To work in partnership with acute, primary care and other healthcare providers.

Experience
Essential criteria
- Has considerable experience working with and undertaking cognitive assessments on neurodevelopmental population
- Has experience leading service development activities
Desirable criteria
- Has experience assessing/diagnosing ASD and ADHD
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Demonnstrates specialist knowledge of neurodivergent conditions
- Demonstrates knowledge of current research and practice in neurodivergent population
