An opportunity has arisen for you to join the Acute Medical Unit nursing team within the Emergency directorate at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, Frimley Park Hospital site. The post is for for 37.5 hours per week Permanent full time.

Main duties of the job

We have a strong sense of community in our teams and we are looking to recruit dynamic and motivated individuals who will become an essential part of our multidisciplinary team in an engaging and supportive environment.

Our units are rapidly developing unit, caring for patients with a range of acute medical conditions and fast paced patient turnover. The department takes admissions from our Emergency department and is now accepting direct GP referrals to the Unit.

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust provides NHS hospital services for around 900,000 people across Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey and south Buckinghamshire.

We brought together Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to create Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust on 1 October 2014.

As well as delivering excellent general hospital services to local people, we provide specialist heart attack, vascular, stroke, spinal, cystic fibrosis and plastic surgery services across a much wider area.

  • Registered General Nurse in UK
  • Current (or pending) NMC Registration

Experience

  • Able to work as an effective team member
  • Hospital experience in UK setting
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience managing patients with acute and chronic medical conditions.

  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Able to prioritise workload (self and others) and meet deadlines
