The Eye Treatment Centre at Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a forward-thinking and innovative department committed to delivering high-quality ophthalmic care. We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Optometrist to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional services to patients attending our ophthalmology department.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic clinical environment, where you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of specialist eye care, working alongside experienced ophthalmologists, nurses, and allied health professionals. The successful candidate will contribute to a range of clinics, helping to ensure timely and effective treatment pathways for our patients.

Main duties of the job

This post offers extensive involvement within the glaucoma, medical retina service and research, for which training will be offered if required.

You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team in the Eye Treatment Centre working primarily alongside the Lead Consultant Ophthalmologist, Consultant Orthoptist and reporting to the Eye Treatment Centre Matron and Orthoptist Team Leader.

 

The post is open to candidates looking for part time or full time hospital experience for 37.5 hours a week.  Part time hours will be considered but a minimum of 1 day per week will be required.
