Band 4

Trosolwg o'r swydd

The post holder will be based at Royal Surrey County Hospital and will be responsible for the provision of timely, accurate and reliable data on behalf of South West London and Surrey Major Trauma Network and Royal Surrey NHS NHS Trust to the TARN

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

The Trauma Audit & Research Network (TARN) has been working with NHS Trusts across England and Wales for 20 years to improve emergency health care systems by collating and analysing trauma patient care data within each Trust. The registry of more than 250,000 injured patients provides a statistical base to support clinical audit and as a source of information is used to support trauma service improvement. TARN produces quarterly comparative reports for participating hospitals. These aid multi-specialty clinical case review and system of trauma care evaluation. The post holder will be based at Royal Surrey County Hospital and will be responsible for the provision of timely, accurate and reliable data on behalf of South West London and Surrey Major Trauma Network and Royal Surrey NHS NHS Trust to the TARN. As a member of the TARN data team, you will ensure delivery of the team objectives in capturing all patient data within specified time periods. This will involve locating patient notes and collecting them for the TARN submission process, whilst ensuring no disruption to clinical or other teams in areas where the patients’ notes may also be required. This will entail a good level of organisation to make the process most efficient and minimise down time for the TARN team. The post will involve the identification, using the TARN inclusion criteria, and subsequent completion of data submissions via the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system.
