Band 6 - Clinical Team  Leader - Full Time - Permanent (Multiple Vacancies)

Our award winning PICU is looking for dynamic experienced B6 nurses to work within Rowan Ward. 

Our PICU has international recognition with regards to reducing restrictive practice, we have worked hard to ensure that all of our staff have great de-escalation, communication skills and think outside of the box with regards to managing challenging patients. We work to the NAPICU guidelines with regards to our practice within PICU.

Main duties of the job

  • Assist the Ward Manager in ensuring that defined roles and responsibilities are coordinated within the team on a continuous basis.
  • Support the Ward Manager to ensure that the team nursing system operates effectively.
  • Ensure, in co-operation with the Ward Manager, that risk assessments, care plans are regularly reviewed, appropriately modified, and updated.
  • Provide professional nursing advice to other team staff and other professionals.
  • Provide management support to staff through appraisal, supervision and continuing professional development.
