Would you like to work in an organisation that sits in the top 10 best NHS Mental Health, Learning Disability and Community Services Trust  to work for.  This ranking is based on staff feedback in the 2023 NHS Staff Survey.

Job overview

This is a great opportunity to join the Workforce Directorate and support its Director of Workforce and senior team to deliver the Trust’s People Plan. At Surrey and Borders we aim to be an employer of choice and our staff survey results show we are a very good employer. However, we are not complacent, and we have a range of initiatives and programmes to recruit, retain and develop an inclusive workforce.

The Executive Assistant and Business Manager will be responsible to the Director of Workforce. You will support her to develop, communicate and promote key workforce initiatives and projects across the Trust and the wider Integrated Care Systems. You will also ensure effective administrative processes and monitoring are in place to support the smooth running and integration of the Workforce division.

This post will suit someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, an ability to connect with people at all levels within the organisation, and experience in the use of social media platforms. You will be extremely well organised, with a good attention to detail and a keen interest in human resources.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible to the Director of Workforce for delivering confidential and efficient Executive Assistant support in a timely and professional way. The postholder will also provide business management support to the Director of Workforce and wider management team to ensure the integration of the Workforce division and development and promotion of key workforce initiatives across the Trust.

The postholder will also support the Director of Workforce and senior team to ensure effective planning and communication with key internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of the Workforce Division objectives and People Plan.

Working for our organisation

We also provide social care services for people with a learning disability in Croydon and ASD and ADHD assessment services in Hampshire.

We actively seek to engage people who use our services and our communities in improving the mental wellbeing of the local population. We work closely with other NHS and voluntary sector organisations who provide services and support people who use services and carers.

Surrey is a beautiful county lying just 30 minutes away from Central London and from the South Coast.

Our historic market towns and bustling districts are enveloped in wonderful countryside, and our excellent road and rail networks bring the rest of the country within easy reach.

For international travel, both Gatwick and Heathrow airports are nearby.

Please note that we reserve the right to close posts as soon as sufficient applications are received.
