Quality Improvement Lead

We are currently growing and shaping our quality improvement strategy, with the aim to further embed quality improvement within the heart of everything we do within the Trust.

The Quality Improvement Lead will be responsible for leading the implementation of the trust Quality Improvement Strategy including supporting divisions to embed QI. The post holder will be responsible for supporting staff working on quality improvement projects within divisions, providing coaching and expertise in quality improvement methodology. 

The role will involve co-design and delivery of the Trust Quality Improvement training packages and programmes. We will provide you with skills development and training to equip you with expert level status in quality improvement, alongside helping you to develop coaching and leadership skills.

This post will be suitable for someone who is enthusiastic and motivated to improve the safety and quality of care we deliver to people using our services, and is also someone who is looking to grow and develop their skills and career progression. Someone who has high energy and enthusiasm for change and can use this to motivate others. Someone who is flexible, adapative and is able to work on several projects/pieces of work at the same time, managing conflicting demands on their time. Someone who has good interpersonal communication skills, good working knowledge of IT and either good knowledge of measurement for improvement or a desire to learn more. Experience of coaching and mentorship is useful as well being able to challenge constructively and think outside the box.

We also provide social care services for people with a learning disability in Croydon and ASD and ADHD assessment services in Hampshire.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The main duties of this role include coaching and training individuals and team's to complete quality improvement projects and initiatives and to work collaboratively with different staff groups to help deliver a variety of quality programmes.

The role will support the development and embedding of the trusts quality improvement strategy.

Qualifications required

  •  Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
  •  Training / experience in continuous quality improvement methodology to Masters level equivalent
  • ·       Registered healthcare professional (Desirable)
  • ·       Project Management Qualification (Desirable)
  • ·       Valid driving license and ability to travel to all locations across the Trust

 

Experience required

 

  • ·       Demonstratable experience working as a Band 6 in the NHS or equivalent experience in a similar role
  • ·       Experience in an improvement role or coordinating projects in complex and challenging environments
  • ·       Proven track record of managing change involving multiple stakeholders.
  • ·       In-depth understanding of quality and safety issues within NHS services
  • ·       Experience of collaborative working across various professions and services
  • ·       Demonstrable skills in teaching or delivering training sessions
  • ·       Experience of coaching or mentoring (Desirable)
  • ·       Ability to prepare and produce concise yet insightful communications of highly complex information for a range of audiences in varied formats
  • ·       Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • ·       Experience/knowledge in using digital tools and technology to support Quality Improvement (Desirable)
