Job overview

An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Cardiac Physiologist to join our friendly team at Wexham Park  Hospital.  It is a 12 month post  covering Maternity Leave 

We are a forward-thinking department offering a wide range of invasive and non-invasive investigations and therapies including , Ambulatory Monitoring, Exercise Tolerance Testing, Pacemaker, ICD and Complex device implantation, follow up and angiography.  We are striving to expand on Physiologist led services and aim to provide and assist staff in Continuing Professional Development.  

This post would be an opportunity for a Physiologist with core knowledge  and skills wanting to progress their career

 

 

Main duties of the job

  • Assisting in the delivery of a high-quality Cardiac Investigation Service 
  • Being able to perform a wide range of investigations including Echocardiography, pacemaker, ICD and complex device interrogation and follow-up with some supervision; assisting in PPM/ICD/CRT device implant procedures; assisting in all invasive investigations in the Cardiac Catheter Lab and providing comprehensive reports; Leading in Exercise Tolerance Testing as well as undertaking Holter analysis and reporting

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • BSc (Hons) Clinical Physiology
  • Intermediate Life Support Skills
  • Intermediate Life Support Skills
  • Registration with HCPC or RCCP

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Extensive experience in physiological investigations
  • Substantial general physiological measurements experience
  • Demonstrate competency to lead in ECG, ETT and Ambulatory Monitoring

Skills and Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to concentrate for long periods of time
  • Ability to provide technical reports
  • Positive attitude to change
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
