Job overview
Frimley Health Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Dietitian to join the team at Wexham Park Hospital on a Bank contract basis. The post-holder will work within the acute adult team covering caseload of mainly nutrition support patients from a variety of specialities, such as: medical, respiratory, care of the elderly, surgical and gastroenterology. You will work alongside the acute dietetic team to provide oral, enteral and parenteral nutrition support. There is the potential for full time hours to be available, part-time hours will also be an option.
The successful applicant will work closely as part of the multi-disciplinary team, raise the dietetic profile within MDTs and link with the dietetic services across Frimley Health Foundation Trust. This is a great opportunity to develop and practice skills and knowledge within acute dietetics.

Main duties of the job
- To provide assessment, treatment and management of adult inpatients
- To provide an effective high-quality service
- To act as a specialist resource for the various MDTs and junior Dietitians with Wexham Park Hospital
- To be flexible in times of increased capacity to the service

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- • Recognised degree or post graduate diploma in nutrition and dietetics or equivalent
- • HCPC registration
- • Member of BDA
Desirable criteria
- • Attendance at student supervision training
- • Attendance of relevant accredited courses
Experience
Essential criteria
- • Post registration clinical dietetic experience in NHS
- • Experience of nutrition risk scoring
- • Experienced in all aspects of adult nutrition support – sip feeds and tube feeds
- • Experience of discharging patients from hospital on home enteral feeds
Desirable criteria
- Experience of Parenteral Nutrition
Skills and Knowledge
Essential criteria
- • Good organisational skills
- • Good time management
- • Evidence of training professionals in formal and informal settings
- • Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel for data inputting
Desirable criteria
- • Some basic leadership skills
