Sylwer bod ychwanegiad dros dro ar gyfer Bandiau 1,2 a 3 i adlewyrchu ymgorffori'r ychwanegiad i’r cyflog byw, sef £12 yr awr - £23,465 y flwyddyn. Bydd yr ychwanegiad dros dro hwn yn weithredol hyd nes y bydd y codiad cyflog blynyddol ar gyfer 2024/25 wedi’i gadarnhau.

Trosolwg o'r swydd

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 7 Occupational Therapists to join the Occupational Therapy  Stroke Service in Swansea Bay UHB.  This post will be based in the Early Supported Discharge Team at Morriston Hospital.

The post will allow the successful applicant the opportunity to work collaboratively within an integrated multi-disciplinary team. You will provide specialist assessment, goal directed intervention and rehabilitation to patients within the community. You will be required to work flexibly across the stroke pathway including supporting 7 day working on the acute stroke ward at Morriston.  

You will be required to work closely with MDT colleagues and contribute to the development of a high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy service. You will have an opportunity to help shape and promote the service, providing you with a unique opportunity to engage in service development and change. The successful candidates will also lead in the development and evaluation of the service model and patient outcomes. You will need excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills and sound clinical knowledge within this specialist clinical area.

You will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, including a 7 day shift pattern, with extended working hours covering 365 days of the year.

 





Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

The role will be responsible for the management and development of the service as well as maintaining a clinical caseload.  A commitment to collaborative working with the Multi-Disciplinary Team is essential. We actively support the education of Occupational Therapy staff and students within our service.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and clinical skills, along with experience of service development and quality improvement.

To manage a defined caseload within specialist area, using evidence based /client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the outcomes of intervention where appropriate; hospital, community, patients' homes, schools, outpatient settings and maintaining associated records. To organise this efficiently and effectively with regard to clinical priorities and use of time.

To ensure clinical records are kept to agreed standards and report accurately to others.

To work in partnership with clients, carers and all stake holders including the multidisciplinary/ multi agency team to identify relevant goals.


To provide leadership and supervision for junior staff.

To regularly supervise Occupational Therapy students on practice placements.

To participate in CPD and develop skills and knowledge through participation in developmental activities.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications

  • Recognised post-graduate traning e.g. Masters level study, or willingness to work towards
