An exciting role has become available, working as part of multidisciplinary team providing evidence based, low intensity psychological interventions, including group work, individual work and guided self help. This may include face to face or telephone contacts or contacts through other media ( subject to UHB advances in technology and policy )
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the stepped model of care in Psychological Therapies in Swansea Bay Health Board.

You will be part of the service, providing valuable first line interventions in the form of Low Intensity Psychological Therapies in group settings. There will also be an opportunity to work with High Intensity Psychological Therapists in developing and delivering the Psychological Therapy Service in Swansea Bay Health Board.
To provide a range of information and support for evidence based, high volume, low intensity psychological interventions for people with condition specific difficulties as described in Matric Cymru.
Attend Multi disciplinary meetings relating to referrals or clients in treatment.
Complete all requirements relating to data collection within the service. Keep coherent records of all clinical activity in line with service protocols.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Experience

- Worked in a service where agreed targets are in place, demonstrating clinical outcomes

- Ability to implement low intensity group interventions for mental health problems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills , including telephone skills
- Able to develop good therapeutic relationships with clients
- Ability to work independently within the boundaries of clinical supervision
