Trosolwg o'r swydd
We are looking for a Clinical Director to support the National Clinical Support Hub.
The post holder will be responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of the National Clinical Support Hub across Wales including implementation of best practice and guidance.
They will ensure that the principles of prudent healthcare are at the forefront of service planning and delivery as well as be responsible for the clinical leadership and management of the clinicians engaged in the National Clinical Support hubs, ensuring that the service remains resilient in terms of clinical cover.
This is a key and exciting role which will act as the senior clinical voice for the programme and provide clinical leadership to its success and development.
Reporting to the Service Group Medical Director for Primary, Community and Therapies, the role will be until 31 March 2025 and will have a commitment of two sessions per week with a £10k responsibility allowance.

The effective clinical leadership of the Clinical Support Hub workforce planning and recruitment, ensuring that annual appraisal is conducted as appropriate.
Ensuring that the National Hubs are well managed, developed, and directed to provide care that is safe, compassionate, consistently of excellent quality and always improving.
Support the delivery of innovation, service redesign and improvement to support the vision and strategy of the 6 Goals Programme.
To promote the development of effective working relationships with other Urgent Primary Care Services and the 111 Service.

Strategic Leadership
To communicate and promote the values, objectives, and strategy of the National Clinical Support hubs.
· To work closely with the Medical Director, 6 Goals National Team and other Urgent Primary Car Clinical leaders across Wales.
· To lead and support GPs and other clinicians to deliver organisational objectives.
· To ensure the continuous development of all staff in the clinical support hubs.
· To assist the Health Board’s 6 Goals Lead achieve service transformation as directed by the National 6 Goals Programme.
Delivering Excellent Clinical Services
· Lead improvements and innovation in the delivery of the National Clinical Support hubs to ensure that services are continuously improved.
· Support the planning of future service developments, to ensure that the resources and facilities for the hubs meet the needs of the service and the vision for the National hubs.
· Contribute and support clinical networks both internally and externally to the Health Board.
Patient Quality and Safety
· Lead and develop a culture where Patient Safety and Quality has the highest priority.
· Investigate and response to incidents, complaints and claims related to the clinicians working in the Clinical Support Hubs.
· Ensure all Health Board Policies and Procedures are adhered to and make recommendations on their amendment where necessary.

- Full GMC Registration with licence to practice
- Inclusion in the Wales Medical Performers List

- MRCGP or equivalent
- Knowledge of Adastra
Knowledge and Experience

- Proven record of leading complex, multi-faceted change aimed at raising performance across healthcare systems
- A thorough understanding of clinical governance, Health, and Care Standards (Wales) with a track record of improving clinical standards whilst ensuring maximum efficiency and value for money.
- Demonstrable experience in effective peer group leadership
- Demonstrable evidence of sound financial/staff management
