At Neath Port Talbot theatres we are looking for enthusiastic, committed Registered Anaesthetic / Recovery Nurses / ODPs to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team to support us to develop our Theatres, enabling Neath Port Talbot to become the Centre of Excellence for Regional Orthopaedic Surgery.

 Neath Port Talbot Theatres has recently undergone redevelopment with the addition of three state of the art modular Theatres.  We now have eight Theatres delivering elective operating lists Monday to Friday.”

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability. As and when service demands, staff are required to work across all three hospital sites, within Swansea Bay University Health Board.

We are committed to developing your professional competence, and building your skills through learning and education to maximise your career prospects.  We have supported educational programmes with the University of Wales, Swansea to support your continuing professional development.

Theatre documentation is recorded electronically, so IT skills are essential.

This post will involve caring for patients within the theatre department, who will undergo a range of surgical procedures from various specialities, and you will be expected to manage patients care throughout the perioperative stage.

You will be part of a driven team engaged in the challenges of an ever changing environment, and be expected to become an efficient and effective team member.

This is a physically and mentally demanding role, and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate their ability to thrive within a dynamic, fast paced service that puts patient care at the heart of what we do.
