Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 1,2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the living wage of £12 per hour - £23,465 per annum. This temporary top up will be in place until the annual pay uplift for 2024/25 is confirmed.

Job overview
The post holder will coordinate the administration of the radiology sub departments.
Provide supervisory support to clerical officers within the Radiology Department.
Duties will be allocated by the Radiology Office Manager/Admin Manager.
The post holder will work within the General Radiology Office, Ultrasound Department, CT Department, MRI Department or other Sub Departments.
Co ordinate modality led waiting list and track reporting of patients examinations in their modality.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting core services plus the daily supervision and training of band 2 clerical staff in each of the areas identified.
They will also participate on a rota to work Bank Holidays and cover some out of hours service.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for the management of their own workload.
Act as the supervisor and lead trainer for reception staff in radiology sub departments and modalities.
Maintain the smooth running of the office systems.
Monitor workload to ensure deadline are met and work output is accurate.
Provide reception services to patients and service users.
Provide advice and guidance to patients careers and relatives regarding their requirements
Perform administrative functions to support all imaging services including an understanding of the patient's clinical requirements.
Responding to complex e-mail and telephone enquiries as escalated by the clerical officers.
Supervision and training of band 2 clerical staff in areas identified above.
Perform PDRs on Band 2 staff.
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team ensuring flexibility and maintenance of the service.
Promoting good patient experience within Radiology.
Managing administrative non routine issues as escalated by clerical officers.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
