Detailed job description and main responsibilities

To assist in the provision of comprehensive information for the Health Board, ensuring the highest quality information is available to support current services. This will involve the development and maintenance of innovative information reporting solutions, utilising a variety of Business Intelligence technologies, such as PowerBI, QlikView and QlikSense, with SQL Server and Microsoft Office products to support seamless access to a wide range of informatics resources and reports for SBU staff.
Supporting the specification, design and development of the Digital Intelligence Data Warehouse.
Maintain the day-to-day running of the Digital Intelligence Data Warehouse and support specification
Undertake analysis of trend based data, incorporating many sources of information and aspects including where information may not be readily available. Will exercise own judgement in the assumptions made in the production of this information.

Educated to Degree Level or equivalent experience

Knowledge

"Knowledge of information requirements and standards within a healthcare environment"
"Advanced IT skills with an advanced knowledge of IT tools/systems such as SQL"
"Advanced knowledge and experience of data warehousing, relational databases, information systems and data transfer packages"

Desirable criteria

"Advanced IT and analytical skills with experience using Business Intelligence technologies"
"A good general understanding of clinical and non-clinical informatics processes"

Experience

• Experience within an information environment
• Previous experience of delivering projects within timescales
• IT and analytical skills with a good knowledge of IT tools/systems such as SQL along with Business Intelligence technologies.
