Trosolwg o'r swydd

The Northumberland and North Tyneside Universal Crisis Team are delighted to be looking for an Advanced Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team within the Working Age Adult pathway.  This is a new post within the service, developed in conjunction with the ICB as part of the wider work around supporting safe and sustainable discharge from hospital, as well as preventing repeated episodes of mental health crisis and possible admission. We understand that the unique role of the Occupational Therapist within the multidisciplinary team, can play a valuable role in helping our service users to develop an occupational life that helps them to reduce risks to themselves or other people, stay well, to be connected to their communities and supporters, and to feel a sense of purpose and satisfaction.

We know that the presence of an occupational viewpoint within the multidisciplinary team will enhance the quality of assessment and formulation at the point of crisis assessments and as part of home based treatment.  By growing our multidisciplinary team of Nurses, Doctors, Psychologists and Social Workers, to include Occupational Therapy, we hope to actively work as part of the CNTW Community Mental Health Transformation programme in supporting Service Users to access the best community based care within their local area with a  clear understanding of their own needs and what may help them to stay well and to progress with their own recovery journey.
