We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to join our busy procurement team.

In this role, you will manage the day-to-day procurement operations to ensure an effective service is delivered to our stakeholders.

The role is office based (Gosforth Newcastle), though there is potential for hybrid (home/ office) working once established into the role.

We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to join our busy procurement team.

In this role, you will manage the day-to-day procurement operations to ensure an effective service is delivered to our stakeholders.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will support the development and delivery of the procurement strategy and national procurement agendas. You will provide strategic direction and leadership to the operational procurement team to ensure the function best supports the organisations goals and objectives.

This is a key role working closely with and providing advice to senior managers and directors on strategic or procedural procurement related matters.

You will be joining a highly experienced team who will provide the necessary support to help you develop into the role. The department have a comprehensive learning and development plan and will support you with training and mentoring to ensure continuous knowledge and skills development. The option to study towards a professional qualification from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) is made available to all staff should they wish to pursue a more formal purchasing career.
