Job overview
We are looking for two enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurses to join the Mental Health Services for Older People (MHSOP). There are vacancy Organic Ward (Ward 20).
We are very passionate about delivering high quality person centred care for our patients and providing support for carers/relatives.

Main duties of the job
- Deliver safe and high quality care to patients.
- Named nurse for group of patients.
- Participate in ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings and work as a member of the MDT.
- Administer medications.
- Risk assess, care plan and evaluate care.
- Co-ordinate shifts, delegating duties.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care working as a member of the ward team under the direction of the Ward Manager.
To be responsible for the organising and co-ordination of nursing services in the ward/dept in the absence of senior staff on a regular basis.
To exercise accountability as set out in the NMC Code .
To be responsible for all nursing care standards and to maintain high clinical standards.
To provide nursing care to a caseload of patients and to provide verbal and written handovers to nursing colleagues and the multi disciplinary team.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- 1 st Level live NMC registered Nurse or Registered Mental Nurse
- Evidence of qualification to undertake the supervision, teaching and assessing of students (essential requirement for post, expectation this will be completed within an 18 month period).
Desirable criteria
- Registered Mentor. Mentorship qualification of relevant qualification (essential requirement for post, expectation this will be completed within an 18 month period)
- PP126/7 or equivalent
- D32/33 or equivalent
- Post Registration qualification in specialty
- Diploma/degree in nursing

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
