We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced clinician to join our well established leadership team within Sunderland Children and Young Peoples service as Clinical Lead. 

We are a large, busy but supportive service offering assessment and interventions for children and young people aged 0-18  within our mental health, learning disability and neurodevelopmental diagnostic pathways. 

The successful candidate will be joining our current 2  x team managers, 2 other clinical leads, specialist nurses, lead OT, psychology and psychiatry in our dynamic service. 

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

  • Clinical supervision
  • Clinical audits and upholding high standards of care 
  • Supporting the treatment pathways and clinicians with role modelling, advice, consultation and clinical guidance throughout the team 
  • Chairing meetings both internally and with MDT Partners across the system 
  • Supporting with complex clinical cases
  • Investigating and resolving complaints, after action reviews and other incidents. 
  • Supporting with the ongoing service improvement with other partners, Trust leads and commissioners

  • Mentorship qualification
  • Relevant Clinical Training and post graduate Qualification

Knowledge and Experience

  • 3-5 years experience post qualifying
  • Experience of assessing and managing complex clinical risk and safeguarding issues
  • Experience of working within an MDT
  • Transferable clinical skills
  • Experience of supervising peers/junior staff and students
  • Experience of chairing meetings, delivering training/presentations
