We are welcoming applications for the posts of Head of Nursing and Quality within our Integrated Children’s Directorate, supporting us with our Trust Strategy for delivering high-quality care consistently across our services.
This is a brilliant opportunity for an inspiring nurse leader with an innovative and creative approach to problem-solving to drive development within our Children’s Services. You’ll work alongside a leadership team of like-minded individuals and support the development and implementation of systems, structures, and processes to promote high-quality clinical services that make a real difference.
We’re looking for someone who is confident in their clinical knowledge to play an instrumental role in policy and practice development, including risk assessments, audit and ligature. You’ll support the preparation for CQC and other external inspections and work collaboratively with the senior leadership and management team to ensure the approach to risk management is in line with the Trust’s Risk Management Strategy.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- 1st level Registered Nurse– (currently registered with Nursing and Midwifery Council)
- Diploma level certificate/Degree relevant to sphere of practice
- Master level education or evidence of equivalent experience
- Evidence of continuing professional development
Experience
Essential criteria
- Substantial experience in an Evidence of appropriate continuing professional development activity to maintain up to date knowledge and on-going competence
- Evidence of working autonomously and as part of a team
- Proven ability to evaluate the effectiveness of their own practice
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Understanding of evidence based practice
- Sound understanding and application of pillars of Clinical Governance
- Sound computer keyboard skills

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
