Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a new Trust Board Secretary to join Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust. In this role, you’ll manage the Trust’s Assurance Framework, Legal advice, Claims and Policy Management, and Freedom of Information.

This is a facilitative role that requires a combination of focus and flexibility, as well as a willingness to play an active, behind-the-scenes role to resolve issues. As gatekeeper and ‘trusted counsel’, the role requires a highly resourceful individual with strong emotional intelligence and an ability to engage with staff across the organisation. You will also be required to manage multiple simultaneous deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

The Trust Board Secretary is a critically important role within the Trust, in that it will facilitate the effective working of the Chair and Chief Executive Officer with both internal and external stakeholders and will allow them to fulfil their commitments to the Trust and the Board of Directors.

The post-holder will report to the Chief Executive Officer but will have dual accountability to the Chief Executive Officer and the Chair.

If you’re interested in this role, we’d welcome an informal conversation or visit. Please contact Jason Emerson, Chief People Officer at [email protected]
