An exiting opportunity has arisen to employ a Programme Manager for the Breast Screening Service.  The service welcomes applications from both clinical and non clinical backgrounds, who have strong leadership, project management and analytical skills.

The service has been fully digital since 2009 and has three GE Pristina 3D Senoiris mammography units with Tomography and stereotactic capability and four GE ultrasound machines. The team uses a full skill mix, with assistant practitioners and radiographers for mammography, advanced practitioners undertaking film reading and stereotactic biopsies, and consultant radiographers participating in all aspects of breast work including MDTs alongside breast radiologists.

Screening is performed using Siemens Mammomat Inspirations mammography machines on 3 mobile vans, a static site at GEH and the City of Coventry Health Centre. All images are sent to UHCW where they are double reported with group consensus arbitration. Screening images have been stored on a dedicated Insignia PACS since October 2016, which is able to share images with the hospital Insignia PACS.
