Job overview

The Early pregnancy / Emergency Gynae Clinic is a busy clinic running alongside The Emergency Gynae Unit that sees ladies up to 20 weeks of pregnancy & all Gynae related emergencies.  We care for pregnancy loss so you will need to offer support to patients at a difficult time.

We are looking for someone who is reliable & caring to provide support to the team, often chaperoning clinics & triaging patients. There will be opportunities to develop this role.

Main duties of the job

Work as  HCSW within the Early Pregnancy Assessment Clinic & Emergency Gynae Unit.

Must have a positive attitude towards Women's Health.

  • Support the nursing & medical team chaperoning clinics & emergency patients.
  • Triage patients.
  • Carry out urine & pregnancy tests.
  • Cleaning of clinic rooms & scan machines.
  • Stocking up of relevant supplies.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

You must be aged 16 or over and have either a Level 2 BTEC Diploma or extended Diploma or equivalent qualification or have previous experience in a person-centred & public facing role.

Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW)-Band 2-£23,615                                   

Sponsorship is unable to be supported with this role.

As a band 2 HCSW you must have previous experience of working within a person-centred & public facing role or already hold a level 2 health and social care related qualification.
