Job overview
We have an exciting secondment or fixed-term opportunity for a senior project manager to deliver two exciting regional radiotherapy workforce projects which will benefit our radiotherapy community and ultimately, our patients.
We are looking for dynamic, well-organised Senior Project Manager who is experienced in co-ordinating and delivering successful projects across different organisations and levels of the NHS.
You will be responsible for managing two projects that contribute to the delivery of the strategic radiotherapy workforce priorities across the Midlands: one relating to therapeutic radiographers and one to radiotherapy engineers.
We are looking for someone to join us as soon as possible, as the funding for this post is fixed term until 31.3.25. This a part-time 0.6 WTE post.
If you are looking for a secondment, please ensure you have the support of your manager before applying.
This role will be home-based, with a requirement for infrequent/ad hoc travel across the Midlands.
**Interviews will be held on Monday 22nd July 2024**
If you have any questions about the role, please contact Patricia Barnett, West Midlands Radiotherapy Network Manager ([email protected]) or Priyesh Mistry, East Midlands Radiotherapy Network Manager ([email protected]).
Main duties of the job
As a Senior Project Manager, you will work as part of a matrix team collaborating across the whole Midlands geography, working closely with the West Midlands and East Midlands Radiotherapy Networks and the 11 radiotherapy provider trusts. You will also work closely with our partner organisations including the West Midlands Cancer Alliance, NHS England and Integrated Care Systems. You will be responsible for managing two projects that contribute to the delivery of the strategic radiotherapy workforce priorities across the Midlands: one relating to therapeutic radiographers and one to radiotherapy engineers.
As well as managing these projects to ensure delivery on time and to budget, you will ensure effective relationships with a range of stakeholders across the radiotherapy community, so that there is significant engagement and buy-in to our projects, and that you create a strong legacy environment for the work to continue at the end of the fixed term project.
Receiving guidance and direction from the Radiotherapy Network Managers, you will be able to work autonomously, using your own initiative and being responsible for proactive and responsive decision-making.
