Main duties of the job
If you enjoy supporting projects where you get to identify people to talk to, plan who you’re going to contact and engage with them, support the process of engaging with a wide range and group of stakeholders and then report on the feedback to questions you ask them this is a role for you!
The communications and engagement department across AGEM and ML are recruiting a new communications and engagement officer to work in the Insight, Engagement and Consultation team. This position will be involved in the delivery of all the activities of stakeholder mapping and contacting, delivering engagement programmes and reporting on stakeholder engagement feedback through engagement such as surveys, focus groups and interviews. Candidates may have some or all these skills and we look forward to hearing from you regardless of your level of knowledge and experience as additional training is available.

Our Communications and Engagement Team is part of a unique collaboration between NHS Arden & GEM CSU and NHS Midlands and Lancashire CSU. As such you will be working amongst the best of the NHS' communications and engagement professionals, providing support and leading on projects for our many, varied clients across the country.

- Undergraduate level engagement communications or marketing qualification or equivalent experience
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in an engagement and/or communications role.
- Experience of managing multiple pieces of work/ projects at one time
- Experience of successfully working with the public and partner organisations to inform communications strategies and activity
- Experience of working within a highly specialist team, including senior level colleagues
Desirable criteria
- Experience in a similar role in a public sector organisation
- Experience of working in the NHS

- Good communications skills
- Ability to prioritise complex workloads and negotiate timescales for delivery and deliver complex campaigns to challenging deadlines
