Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Lead the strategic oversight and delivery of the Federated Data Platform across assigned Trusts. This includes managing all phases of the lifecycle and ensuring alignment with overarching NHS digital strategies.
Work at a senior level with technology providers to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to Trust-level delivery, fostering strong partnerships for enhanced service delivery.
Oversee and provide executive leadership to the Regional Account Manager and Regional Business Readiness Manager, ensuring strategic alignment and effective team performance.
Develop and lead Trust Implementation Plans: Create detailed Trust Technical Implementation Plans, clearly defining roles and responsibilities across all facets of technical, operational, and clinical teams.
Manage interdependencies across various teams and departments, ensuring a coordinated approach to project delivery.
Establish and lead local governance structures for effective management and reporting of pilot programs, aligning with NHS governance standards.
Direct the onboarding process for new Trusts, ensuring all legal and operational requirements are met for the Federated Data Platform delivery

Education & Qualifications:

A postgraduate degree in a relevant field such as Management Studies, or an equivalent level qualification, or significant experience in a similar senior-level specialist area.
Project Management Qualifications like PRINCE2, Agile, or MSP are highly desirable. Agile methodologies (such as Scrum Master, SAFe), or Lean Six Sigma are also desirable.
Completion of relevant NHS Leadership Academy programs or similar leadership development training is advantageous.
Candidates should possess extensive experience in a senior management role within the NHS/Trust or a similar healthcare setting. This experience should demonstrate a proven ability to successfully lead regional or large-scale healthcare projects.
Familiarity with healthcare IT systems, data analytics platforms, and contemporary digital healthcare solutions.
