Job overview

Senior Staff Nurse - Band 6

Are you a Registered nurse who is enthusiastic about working with people who have a learning disability and their associated health needs?

Set amongst the countryside on the outskirts of Nuneaton, Ashby House offers direct 24/7 nursing care overnight for short breaks to adults with a range of needs. These needs include mild to severe learning disabilities with associated complex health needs, sensory impairment, autism and complex behaviours.

At Ashby House, every day is different. As a senior staff nurse you will provide holistic nursing care for our service users, practising a wide range of clinical skills supporting people with learning disabilities in our respite service.

In this rewarding role, you will clinically lead a team of nurses and healthcare assistants to provide high-quality care. You’ll have experience of working with adults or children with learning disabilities and be a confident leader who is committed and enthusiastic about continuous quality improvement.

We’re a supportive team, who work together to ensure our patients have access to a meaningful and varied timetable of activities to explore their interests and develop new skills.

You will need to be a car driver and be willing to occasionally drive a minibus to help our service users access activities within the community.
