Main duties of the job
The duty of the post is to provide inpatient and outpatient support to Trauma & Orthopaedic specialty services.
The Specialty Doctor is expected to lead the Junior Doctors in and support the Consultant in providing care to inpatients and outpatients.
The job involves active participation in elective theatre sessions, outpatient clinics and trauma lists.
The Post has 1 in 8 non-resident on-call commitments.
The successful candidate will be expected to take part in regular departmental audit and weekly teaching sessions.

- Full GMC Registration
- Evidence of Good Practical skills
Qualification and Professional Training

- ATLS, BLS certification
- Higher qualification – MRCS

- Ability to work both autonomously and in a team.
- Ability to organise and prioritize workload effectively
- Ability to exercise sound judgement when faced with conflicting pressures
