Full time, permanent role

Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner within the  South Warwickshire Talking Therapies team, managing and coordinating a supportive and cohesive PWP Team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent role as a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner role within  South Warwickshire Talking Therapies which is run in partnership with Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust and Coventry and Warwickshire MIND.

Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull NHS Talking Therapies service has a strong focus on client experience and outcome as well as staff wellbeing. The service benefits from a robust support structure, with various learning and development opportunities including an inhouse CPD programme, whereby full time staff are allocated 5 study days per year to progress their skills and knowledge.

This is a hybrid role with a mix of remote working and office based duties. 

Main duties of the job

This is a full time role and your responsibilities will include spending one day each week at our Telephone and Referral Centre. This is where all referrals are received and processed and your role will require you to screen some of these referrals for suitability. You will also be required to assess risks on a regular basis and ensure that a management plan is developed whenever risks are identified.

You will have experience of working with common mental health problems, be able to provide initial assessments of client need including risk assessment and deliver a range of evidence-based, high volume, low-intensity psychological interventions based on a self-management model. The range of interventions will include both individual and group work and the candidates must be confident and competent in delivering interventions using a variety of communication mediums such as telephone work, e-consultation and face-to-face activities.

You must have excellent communication/interpersonal skills and be able to work on your own initiative as well as within a team.
