Through strong and professional leadership, this leadership role will provide strategic direction on talent, learning and leadership development across the whole Company. Their work will ensure we attract and retain top talent; guaranteeing each member of staff has what they need to thrive. This new role will bring experienced leadership to the cultural development of the organisation, ensuring demonstrable values of supportive, progressive and diverse by all.
Main duties of the job
As a member of the Company’s Executive Team, the role will be to develop, implement and manage a People and Organisation Development (OD) Strategy, supported by policies and procedures, which enables the achievement of the Company’s vision and strategic goals. To direct and manage the People and Organisation Development Directorate to deliver an excellent all–round service.
Working closely with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team, this role will be responsible for the strategic development and delivery of a bold People strategy.
The post holder will bring an innovative, outcomes focused vision to lead the development and implementation of best-in-class development experiences, driving the organisation forward as an employer of choice.
You’ll invest and lead on all aspects of development, wellbeing, cultural change and talent management; promoting diversity, equity and inclusiveness throughout the employee lifecycle and ensuring a positive employee experience is maintained.
This role will need to confidently oversee all functions of traditional HR, (including employee relations, HR compliance, diversity and inclusion.)
Working for our organisation
SWFT Clinical Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of the South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT). The company provides full estates and facilities services to SWFT across multiple sites in South and North Warwickshire. These will include both community and acute estates. We also have an expanding clinical division with outpatient pharmacy at Warwick, Stratford and Nuneaton hospitals with further expansion to Rugby and Coventry as well as private patient service and consultancy services to NHS Trusts.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Senior Leadership of the Organisation
Provide high level business partnering support, advice and guidance to the CEO and senior managers across the Company on all People and OD related matter
Ensure that the pay framework for all staff is affordable, sustainable, ensures the Company can attract and retain high calibre individuals and is equal pay proof.
Ensure that appropriate systems are in place to provide accurate people
Management information and data reports in a timely manner and to effectively inform planning.
Deliver an effective suite of HR management policies, practices, processes and toolkits which complement the current and future direction of the Company.
Develop and implement a series of key performance indicators that are measurable and monitor progress against the People and OD Strategy, supporting operational plan and HR service delivery.
Work with the Chief Executive and the Senior Leadership Team to realise our vision, set our ambitious strategy and provide professional and people leadership for the organisation, establishing a vibrant.
You will be responsible for the effective management of any service level agreements for Human Resources the Company holds.
Act as an organisational expert, providing key direction, leadership of internal governance committees and credible technical oversight for the wider organisation.
Lead as an autonomous, decisive organisation leader. Not merely raising problems but also proactively working with others to solve them.
Grow the brand, reputation and impact of SWFT CS through visible leadership.
Deliver an effective annual business plan.
People Development
Lead the development and delivery of strategic leadership development programmes for all managers and leaders, aligned to the strategic objectives of the organisation.
Lead the development and implementation of succession planning practices, talent management programmes across the whole company, enabling us to fully utilise the potential of our people and meet future and changing needs.
Lead the development and delivery of coaching and mentoring capability across the company, championing the benefits of coaching, mentoring and sponsorship.
Oversee the effective delivery of quality, intentional attraction, recruitment, induction and retention pathways.
Partner with the Senior Leadership Team to deepen understanding of how to develop and ensure we have high performing teams at all levels of the organisation.
Provide and use management data and insights to enable the organisation to make effective decisions in relation to its people.
Ensure effective people processes, policies and procedures are in place and embedded across the whole organisation.
Culture and Wellbeing
Deliver objectives across our EDI strategy; ensuring everything we do is embedding in our commitment to a diverse, equitable and inclusive workforce and working environment.
Lead on the strategic objective to make SWFT CS an employer of choice; building a thriving culture of innovation, diversity and expertise.
Deliver a transformational People strategy that embeds a step change in the quality of experience and wellbeing of everyone that works at SWFT CS.
Enable a team learning culture that promotes collaboration, a culture of inclusion, proactivity, and responsibility, ensuring that individuals are focused on providing the foundations that will allow UK Youth to meet the needs of the youth sector.
