Trosolwg o'r swydd

We have an exciting opportunity for a  Substantive Consultant Respiratory Physician to join the team at UHSussex on the Royal Sussex County Hospital site.

We welcome subspecialist interests relevant to your experience, however experience within the lung cancer service would be advantageous. This is a full time post but we would encourage applications from those who wish to work flexibly.

The Respiratory department consists of 11 Respiratory Physicians across both our acute sites: the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton and Princess Royal Hospital, Hayward’s Heath. We have 10 specialist nurses in COPD, asthma, allergy, TB, respiratory infection, NIV, sleep, respiratory virtual ward and ILD. We have developed and run a respiratory
virtual ward focussing on admission avoidance and early supported discharge and are in the early stages of developing a respiratory same day emergency care (SDEC) service.

There are sub-specialist clinics in asthma, allergy, COPD, TB, fungal disease and non-CF bronchiectasis, lung cancer, pleural disease, interstitial lung disease and non-invasive ventilation. We perform weekly EBUS and bronchoscopy lists and twice weekly pleural
lists.
