Job overview

We are delighted to be able to offer a unique opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join our well-integrated team. This trust doctor post in Anaesthesia and ITU is available from February for 12 months.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will work on our on-call rotas covering CEPOD and Intensive care and there will be an opportunity to work in all areas of clinical anaesthesia during this post.

 

The duties of the post meet the requirements of the CT2 Equivalent posts as detailed by the Royal College of Anaesthetists. The 2021 RCoA Anaesthetics curriculum will be followed. The duties will include pre, peri and post-operative management of surgical patients, assisting with care of the patients on the ICU, and provision of assistance with resuscitation calls.

 

This post will offer training opportunities as per the Royal College of Anaesthetists training guidance.

Experience/ Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • • Basic medical degree
  • • Completed at least two years Foundation training at FY1 and FY2 level in a relevant training programme.
  • • Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice
  • • Completed RCoA IAC
Desirable criteria
  • • 3 months experience in ITU / Anaesthetics in the UK

Clinical Skills and Experience

  • • Possesses range of clinical knowledge, skills and information technology expertise.
  • • Understanding of clinical risk management

  • • Breadth of experience in and outside specialty
