The Lighthouse (Specialist Complex Emotional Relational Needs (Personality Disorder) Service)   is looking for a  Administrator/Receptionist to work 32.5 hour per week.

As a Team Administrator/Receptionist, you should have strong organisational and communication skills and be able to work closely and collaboratively with clinicians and managers and strive for high quality standards both personally and for the service.

You will be responsible for sending out routine correspondence to members, managing queries, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with tasks being undertaken by the Lighthouse Team. The Lighthouse is a specialist service delivered in partnership by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Southdown and Mind. 

We provide intensive therapy to people with personality disorder/complex emotional and relational needs, using mentalisation based treatment, peer involvement and a groups-based approach. Therapy takes place in a therapeutic community setting across three days.

We have a clinical lead and team managers, art therapist, nurses, occupational therapists, psychologist, recovery advisors and peer support, and a volunteer coordinator, who work together to deliver the range of treatments.

  • To provide an efficient and comprehensive secretarial/ administrative service to the team .
  • To include audio/copy typing of clinical reports, manuscripts and other correspondence.
  • Draft letters and emails as appropriate.
  • Printing, scanning and post duties.
  • Contact  with members and their families, doctors, other health professionals and the general public on the telephone and via email.
  • To manage diaries, and book in patient appointments.
  • To  update and maintain accurate records on data entry systems.
  • To be proactive in organising and prioritising workload, managing own time effectively, highlighting  problems as they arise and proposing possible solutions within available resources.

Successful candidates will have an NVQ 3/RSA 3 qualification or demonstrable experience within this field and have a genuine interest in developing a career within mental health services, specifically the complex emotional relational needs
