Job overview
We are seeking to develop a pool of bank workers to support our team of Facilities Assistants (cleaners) in the Brighton and Hove area.
Facilities Bank workers work with other members of the Facilities team to deliver high standards of environmental cleanliness and to support the provision of our meal service to support the patients in our care.
Our Hospitals have a number of separate wards and communal spaces. We also provide services in a variety of community buildings.
Our teams work in shifts throughout the week, both in the morning and afternoons.
Main duties of the job
Are you approachable, flexible and willing to work as part of a team? Do you want to help us make a positive difference for the people in our care? If you answered yes, then we have the perfect role for you. Applicants must have good communication and interpersonal skills, be able to undertake varied manual tasks, and have experience of working within the Cleaning or Catering Industries and with the general public.
We are looking for self-motivated individuals who can work equally well on their own or as part of a team, to deliver and achieve high standards of environmental cleaning and prepare meals for service. We need people who recognise the importance of a clean environment and food safety as well as the important of adherence to infection prevention and control standards at all times.
The role is for bank , with offers of work being made as the need of the organisation arises with no fixed pattern - such as to cover periods of staff sickness or leave.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
