Job overview
We are looking for someone to provide administrative support to our Education and Training Placement Lead in the day to day running of the Placements workstream.
The Placements workstream sits within the Workforce Supply Assurance and HR OD Team and is responsible for placement expansion; sharing good practice through various meetings; organising bespoke events and system level meetings; leading focussed work to address placement challenges and hot spots; leading on the development of a clinical placement capacity management system; payment of clinical tariff; and ensuring effective coordination across internal functions related to Placements.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking for a varied and interesting role, working within a busy and supportive team. We would also like to support the appropriate candidate to complete a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business and Administration or Level 4 in Project Management.
Main duties of the job
You would be responsible for:
- supporting the management of clinical tariff payments
- some diary management
- arranging and taking meeting actions
- undertaking a variety of administrative tasks ranging from organising data through to drafting communications
We would like someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Competence in using Excel is required, as well as other software applications including Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, SharePoint and Teams. The role would suit someone with strong organisational and numerical skills. The ability to work within and across teams would be advantageous as well as the ability to engage with a variety of external stakeholders.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
