Job overview

An exciting opportunity is available for a Highly Specialist (Band 7) Speech and Language Therapist with skills and experience working with deaf children in Resourced Provisions.

This permanent post is currently funded for 0.65 sessions a week.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of the Speech and Language Therapy Service  to the 3 Resourced Provisions for Deaf children in Bradford. Two of these Resourced Provisions are Primary aged and one of these is Secondary aged. 

In addition to their clinical caseload, the postholder  will have leadership responsibilities within the Speech and Language Therapy Service, including line management.

  • Registered Speech and Language Therapist with Health Professionals Council
  • Registered with RCSLT
  • SLT Degree/dip Qualification

Experience

  • Experience working with the Deaf community
  • Experience working collaboratively with Teachers of the Deaf
  • signature BSL Level 1
Desirable criteria
  • Signature BSL Level 2 training
