As a provider of care for people of all ages who have mental and/or community health needs we are dedicated to providing a high-quality service, close to where people live and as much as possible tailored to an individual’s needs.

Job overview

The Community Dental service has an exciting opportunity for a registered dental nurse who has a passion for working with vulnerable and medically complex patients. As an award winning service we offer high quality dental care to people who are unable to access a ‘high street’ NHS dentist, due to their additional needs. The post holder will provide chairside support to our Consultants, Specialists, Dentists and Dental Therapists.

There will be the opportunity to develop your skills to enable you to support our clinicians when providing more specialised care such as inhalation sedation, domiciliary care and working within the hospital theatre setting. The Community Dental Service provides mandatory training and clinical supervision, which supports you in maintaining the General Dental Councils, CPD requirements. We provide a varied and competency based induction programme to support you in your development within the service.

The successful candidate should have 3 years post qualification experience, or hold an NEBDN post qualification. The vacancy is full time (37.5hrs).
We have seven sites across Bradford and Airedale. Travel across the district is a requirement of the role in order to successfully undertake the range of duties specified within the job description. Therefore, it is essential that applicants have the ability to travel across the district as and when required to meet the needs and demands of the service.
